From the 4th to the 5th of October 2008
SATURDAY 4
At 9:30 am we met at the association to go to Puente Arenas fullfiling Marisa’s invitation. Since Puente Arenas is very far away, hiring a bus was very expensive so we decided to go by taxi and car to save some Money. We got to Marisa’s house at 11:30. We then settled the kids in their bedrooms.
We then went to Radio Valdivieso. Jokin explained us how the station worked, we watched one of their live shows and we even participated in one of his programs. They enjoyed it very much. We intended to show them how a radio station worked and the technology needed to work. We will not forget Jokin’s kindness who gave each kid a radio set as a present.
Back home, we had an amazing lunch and rested for a while.
That evening, we went to visit two towns from the area. The first one was Puentede, a very small town that had an spectacular bridge and a very nice walk under it. We then went to Villarcayo had a long walk and had snack on a terrace.
We got back home at 9 pm and had our dinner.
After dinner, we watched Jumanji. They liked it very much. The objective was to have fun.
SUNDAY 5
After breakfast we went to Mazorra pass, to watch an exposition of birds of prey. When we got there, the show had to move to Valdenoceda due to the wind.
The program started with a brief lectura about the different kind of birds and the importance they have on the ecosystem. Then they showed many different birds of prey. They enjoyed it very much. The objective was to learn about this kind of birds and their importance.
We then had lunch, rested a bit and at 5 pm went back to the association.
